About Classic and Suport Car Club
Classic and Sports Car Club of North Cyprus was formed in 1992 in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus. The Club’s founding members are Mr Cetin Gurcag, who is now the honorary president of the Club, Mr Tamer Konat who is a graduate of Chelsea College of Aeronautical and Automobile Engineering and Mr Said Muhyi who is an Electronics Engineer educated in UK.
Mr Konat and Mr Muhyi both are keen classic car enthusiasts and own private collection of fine classic cars, as does Mr Akin Demirag, an executive member of the club. The Club was originally founded with twenty members and now has over 200 members, its head quarters being at the Onar Village in Kyrenia (Girne). Club’s yearly activities include Classic Car Regularity Rallies, and other events most of them based on FIVA rules and regulations. The Club also holds Classic Car Shows, Parades and charity events.
The Club is authorised by the government of Turkish Republic of North Cyprus to issue import licences for classic cars. Several foreign residents are members of the club having imported their beloved classic cars into North Cyprus from all over the world. The Club gives expert advice to the members regarding restoration and spare parts and also holds seminars to train the members for International events. Most of our members are English speaking with an excellent knowledge of classic cars. For more information please contact us from our Contact Pages
